Join us for this session that sheds light on the information interplay within today’s multimedia and fast-paced world. Step back with us and examine the complexities and variables that so often give rise to dysfunctional communication. Catch a glimpse of your own behavior as sender and receiver—both helpful and unhelpful. This interactive session will highlight common pitfalls, habits, behaviors, and success strategies for effective communication. Choose to dedicate more consciousness to improving your communication skills—a must for anyone in business...and life.

Engagement is a critical component of personal effectiveness and workplace productivity. In this session you will learn about little-known, unconscious filters that impact whether others will ‘hear,’ or act on, your messages. You’ll learn how to readily identify the preferences of others, then modify your message so they will understand and take action. You’ll become familiar with the most common filters related to motivation and task accomplishment. For each filter, you will learn a specific process for ‘cold-reading’ someone’s preferences and modifying your communication to increase engagement. This session will focus on skills for coaching, mentoring, and supervision.

Generational perspective and differences can significantly impact interpersonal communication and the bottom line. For the first time in history we have four– soon to be five–generations working side by side in the workplace. The age differences affect productivity, motivation, turnover, and profitability. Participants will learn how to bridge the generation gap to increase productivity and improve teamwork and communication. This program explores real-world examples that will help you grasp and easily integrate effective techniques for managing and navigating age diversity at work—and beyond.
