About the Day
Join us for a day of professional development focused on the ever-growing need to improve communication. This ala carte event will start with Mastering Conscious Communication...The G-FORCE Model, presented by Rob Schwarting of Cornell University and Barb Glassman. Then spend an extraordinary afternoon with Dr. Beth Sears, PhD, exploring Soon To Be Five: Generational Differences AT WORK™. In the early evening, we'll be presenting Fundamentals of Emotional Intelligence AT WORK as our evening program.
Clarity in interpersonal communication has been difficult since the beginning of time, yet clarity is essential to cut through the clutter of the modern information age. Join us for this session that sheds light on the information interplay within today’s multimedia and fast-paced world. Step back with us and examine the complexities and variables that so often give rise to dysfunctional communication. Catch a glimpse of your own behavior as sender and receiver—both helpful and unhelpful. This interactive session will highlight common pitfalls, habits, behaviors, and success strategies for effective communication. Choose to dedicate more consciousness to improving your communication skills—a must for anyone in business...and life.
Generational perspective and differences can significantly impact interpersonal communication and the bottom line. For the first time in history we have four– soon to be five–generations working side by side in the workplace. The age differences affect productivity, motivation, turnover, and profitability. Participants will learn how to bridge the generation gap to increase productivity and improve teamwork and communication. This program explores real-world examples that will help you grasp and easily integrate effective techniques for managing and navigating age diversity at work—and beyond.
Learning Objective: Raise awareness of the impact of emotions in the workplace, to both harness constructive and transform disruptive emotions by employing proven tools and techniques.
Fundamentals of Emotional Intelligence AT WORK™ (EIW 101) is a newly-expanded version of our previously offered Taste of Emotional Intelligence AT WORK™. EIW 101 now provides six tools and two new topics that can be applied to stay grounded and focused in the most challenging situations. It’s an ideal opportunity for business professionals and leaders to improve their effectiveness in creating and sustaining relationships with colleagues, staff, and customers. This three-hour program introduces a well-known Emotional Intelligence model, engages the group to look deeper at inherent reactions and response choices while providing telling, memorable & effective listening exercises. Participants also explore the incredible return on investment of trusted individual and team relationships.
Fundamentals of Emotional Intelligence AT WORK™ is the first in a series of interactive and experiential programs designed to improve workplace satisfaction, engagement, individual and team dynamics, and relationships in order to maximize overall effectiveness. EIW 101 is a prerequisite for our transformative, multi-day program, EIW 301: Emotional Intelligence AT WORK™ Immersion.
